Planning a stress-free family holiday

Planning a holiday should be enjoyable, but anyone who's done it knows it can become stressful.

Between coordinating dates that work for everyone and making sure there’s plenty to do both on-site and nearby to keep the whole family entertained, it can quickly feel overwhelming.

Luckily, we’ve got some top tips to help you out!

Decide which resort you’d like to travel to

Choosing your travel destination is the first step in planning your holiday. If you’re unsure where to go, start by discussing with your fellow travellers what type of holiday you all want.

Are you looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life? Consider relaxing at the Bellbrae Country Club or Island Breeze Resort. If sampling local wines is more your style, Mount Martha Valley Resort or Whitecliffs Beach Resort are ideal.

Book your stay in advance

Our resorts tend to fill up quickly, particularly during peak times like school holidays, so booking early is the best way to avoid disappointment. The good news is, you can book up to two years in advance (23 months online)! This is especially useful since school holiday dates are typically announced a couple of years ahead, allowing you to plan for the future.

Research the resort and the local area

Creating an itinerary can help you maximize your holiday experience. Research what’s happening in the local area during your stay and identify any must-see landmarks. Additionally, check with your resort about scheduled activities to ensure you don’t miss out on anything exciting.
